Elvis Aaron Presley January 8, 1935 August 16, 1977 was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the King of Rock and Roll or simply the King. Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. Early Morning Rain, sometimes styled as Early Mornin' Rain, is a song written, composed, and recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot. The song appears on his 1966 debut album Lightfoot and, in a re-recorded version, on the 1975 compilation Gord's Gold. Lightfoot wrote and composed the song in 1964, but its genesis took root during his 1960 sojourn in Westlake, Los Angeles. Throughout this time, Lightfoot sometimes became homesick and would go out to the Los Angeles International. Lyrics Elvis Presley - Early Morning Rain. In the early mornin' rain With a dollar in my hand And an aching in my heart And my pockets full of sand I'm a long ways from home And I missed my loved one so In the early mornin' rain With no place to go Out on runway number nine Big 707 set to go Well I'm out here on. the grass Where the pavement never grows Where the liquor tasted good And the women all were fast There she goes my friend She is rolling out at last Hear the mighty engines roar See the silver wing on high She's away and westward bound For above t. Early Mornin' Rain Letra: In the early morning rain, With a dollar in my hand, And an aching in my heart, And my pockets full of sand. I'm a long ways from home, And I missed my loved one so, In the early morning rain, With no place to go. Out on. Where the morning rain don't fall And the sun always shines She'll be flying over my home In about three hours time. This old airport's got me down It's no earthly good to me Because I'm stuck here on the ground Cold and drunk as I might be. Can't jump a jet plane Can't jump a plane Like you can a freight train Like a freight train So I best be on my way In the early morning rain. Elvis Presley. Early Morning Rain Live. Preview Preview.
