Face the Music is the fifth studio album by Electric Light Orchestra ELO. It was released in September 1975 by United Artists Records and on 14 November 1975 in the United Kingdom by Jet Records. The album moves away from the large-scale classical orchestrated sound from the previous album, Eldorado, in favor of more radio-friendly rockpop songs, though the string sections are still very prominent. The new sound proved successful for the group as Face the Music was the first ELO album to go platinum. Face the Music - Electric Light Orchestra. Songs in album Electric Light Orchestra - Eldorado 1974. Electric Light Orchestra - Eldorado review: A superb breakthrough album that transformed the band and remains its magnum opus. All told, Eldorado was a dramatic leap forward for the Electric Light Orchestra, one that is all the more impressive when one compares it to the group's output from just a year earlier: The vocals are more confident, the lyrics more concise, the excesses reined in. If there had been a Most Improved Artist award for 1974, Jeff Lynne would have certainly won it hands down. On the next album Face the Music, Lynne would prove that this new and improved ELO was no fluke. Well done, Dad . The album features a different line-up from their previous studio album Eldorado. 1 Overview
